Most unanswered questions are missing the same few things. If you include them, people who know the answer can help straight away instead of asking you five questions first.
1. The exact model
“iPhone” or “Samsung” isn’t enough. Give the model and, if you can, the model number:
- iPhone: Settings > General > About, or the A-number on older models.
- Samsung: the SM- number in Settings > About phone (for example SM-S901B).
- MacBook: the A-number printed on the bottom case (for example A2337).
- iPad: the A-number on the back.
- Consoles: the model on the label (CFI number on a PS5).
Then add the matching model tag. If it isn’t in the list, use other-device and put the model in the title.
2. A title that says what’s wrong
Bad: “Help please!!”
Good: “iPhone 12 Pro no Face ID after screen replacement”
3. What happened before
Dropped? Liquid? Did someone else already try to repair it? Did it stop after an update? This often matters more than the symptom itself.
4. What you’ve tried
Parts you swapped, and where they came from (brand and grade, e.g. a REPART Prime OLED or a pulled original). Readings if you have a meter or a USB ammeter. “Nothing yet” is a fine answer, just say it.
5. Photos
Clear, in focus, good light. For board questions, a sharp close-up of the area (under the microscope if you have one) plus one photo of the whole board.
6. Your experience level
Tell us if this is your first repair or if you do board work every day. People will pitch the answer at the right level.

- Reply to questions people ask you; they’re trying to narrow it down.
- When something fixes it, mark that reply as the solution and say what the problem was. That’s what makes this place useful for the next person.
The question forms in Repair Help, Board Repair, Screen Refurbishing and the brand categories walk you through all of this.
